Smart Serve Certification

What is Smart Serve? Smart Serve is a certification required by the province of Ontario for all individuals who plan to serve alcoholic beverages while working in the hospitality industry. Individuals of all ages may take this training and be certified, but you must be 18 years of age or older to serve, sell, or handle alcohol in Ontario.

Resume/Cover Letter Critique

Get ready for HFTM's Annual Job Expo on Wednesday, January 20th, 2016. Co-operative Education and Career Services is hosting a Resume Blitz on Tuesday, November 3rd from 10:00am-3:00pm in the University Centre Courtyard, Level 1.  Please bring a hard copy of your resume & cover letter and have a 5 miinute resume critique with a qualified Co-operative Education and Career Services Peer Helper. No registration required! First come, first serve!

Chili & Stew Lunch in Support of United Way

On Monday, November 2, the College of Business & Economics will be holding its annual Chili & Stew lunch to support the University's ongoing United Way Campaign.  The event will be held in PJ's Atrium, and will run from 11:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.  Your $10 ticket includes a bowl of chili or stew, a bun, drink and cookie.  It will be a great time to raise money for a great cause!  We will also have basket, raffle and 50/50 draws.  Hope to see you all there. HAFA/HFTM AA Fall Social & Recognition Event

Alumni are invited to attend the Fall Social where the HAFA/HFTM Alumni Association will honour outstanding alumni for their professional accomplishments. It’s a great night for networking and reconnecting with fellow alumni and faculty.

HFTMSA Think Pink Student Charity Event

  Everyone is welcome to attend and support the Hospitality, Food & Tourism Management Student Association (HFTMSA) at their annual 'Think Pink' charity event.  Proceeds will be going towards Breast Cancer research. Wear your pink on Monday, October 26th - 8 p.m. downtown Guelph at 39 Carden Street. This charitable evening is filled with music, food, friends and fun. Hope to see you there.
