The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development and Ontario Agriculture College will host the international conference of the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education (AIAEE) in Guelph from April 26 to 29, 2023.

School of Environmental Design and Rural Development - Landscape Architecture MLA Master's Thesis Examination Abigayle Lalonde, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on "Re-Imagining Escapism:  The Role of Landscape Architecture in Responsible Cottage Shoreline Design in Muskoka, Ontario."

School of Environmental Design and Rural Development - Landscape Architecture MLA Master's Thesis Examination Viane Resh, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on "Urban Forests as Landscapes of Social Inequality:  Best Practices for Equitable Distribution of Urban Tree Canopy Cover."

Wayne Caldwell has been a leader, mentor and friend to many across the UofG campus and beyond. He has been a force for the Rural Planning and Development program, the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, the Ontario Agricultural College, and the University of Guelph. Come join us to celebrate Wayne's upcoming retirement on April 20, 2023, from 2.00-4.00 pm in The Pit of the Landscape Architecture Building. 

School of Environmental Design and Rural Development - Landscape Architecture MLA Master's Thesis Examination Tiffany Robertson, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on "Exploring Plant-Human Relationships Among Indigenous Students at the University of Guelph Using a Circle Method."

The 4th year Bachelor of Landscape Architecture students will be holding a public display of their final design projects for the LARC*4710 Integrative Design Studio course. School of Environmental Design and Rural Development - Landscape Architecture MLA Master's Thesis Examination Allison Neuhauser, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on "Small Remotely Piloted Aerial Systems in Visual Impact Assessments and Resource Management:  Developing Standards for Landscape Architecture."

School of Environmental Design and Rural Development - Landscape Architecture MLA Master's Thesis Examination Marika Li, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on "Designer Robots:  An Early Look at Applications for Artificial Intelligence Visualization Software in Landscape Architecture."

The Rural Planning and Development graduate program at the University of Guelph is hosting an open house for all prospective students on Tuesday, April 4th.
