Towards a Connected London: Building a Smart City Digital Infrastructure

The 20th century economy needed a physical infrastructure such as roads and bridges. The 21st century economy needs digital infrastructure. Without reliable ultra‐high‐speed digital infrastructure that is scalable, universally accessible and equitably affordable, cities and countries will fall behind in building a new economy that fosters growth and innovation. Digital infrastructure has become a critical asset, an information utility, that must be developed just like other traditional human, financial, physical, and information assets.

4th Year BLA Open House for Riverpark Designs in Downtown Guelph

All are welcome to join the 4th year BLA students as they host an open house in the City Hall Galleria to present their designs for the extended Riverpark along Wellington Street in Downtown Guelph. All are welcome to bring skates as we will enjoy a skating party at the Market Square rink following the presentations- then off to the Albion!

World Town Planning Day in Guelph

In the spirit of World Town Planning Day, the University of Guelph will be holding an event where MES students will embark on a day-long field trip to join us in fun planning-related challenging activities and then to explore the City of Guelph! The trip is in collaboration with the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, Rural Planning and Development Program and MES York Planning Alumni Association (MYPAC).
