Spot the Hazards Activity Contest

to
How observant are you? Do you have what it takes to spot all the hazards in the photos? Give it your best shot and you could WIN!  Those wishing to enter are asked to identify 3 hazards within the photos and also submit a “safety idea” relevant to each of the photos. Submit your answers to wellnessatwork@uoguelph.ca or deliver in-person to Sarah Joosse in Human Resources. Contest deadline is May 10th at 5:00pm.

Mindfulness and Self-Care

Today’s workplace is dynamic, fast paced and demanding for both the mind and the body. This 3-part series will explore the impact of our self-care habits on our day-to-day wellness. The overall goal for the series is to create a warm and engaging space for women to connect with one another to discuss their relationship with their body and their self-care habits. Sessions will examine what self-care looks like for you, your connection to your body signals for hunger, fullness, fatigue and stress, as well as helpful mindfulness strategies and using your strengths for success.

Safety and Security for Front Line Staff

Front line staff members are normally the first contact for clients and/or visitors. Learn how difficult situations can be dealt with effectively while maintaining a safe and secure environment. Participants will gain confidence and knowledge of safety and security within the work place. Please bring a pen and notebook with you to this workshop. Come prepared for in class training. This program is for all front line staff members dealing with staff, students, visitors.
