Sierra Dye (PhD '16) Lands Tenure-Track Position at Cape Breton University

Posted on Friday, July 7th, 2023

Dr. Sierra Dye (PhD '16) has just accepted a tenure-track position at Cape Breton University in Gender History, beginning July 1. Sierra completed her PhD – "'Devilische Wordis': Speech as Evidence in Scotland's Witch Trials, 1563-1736" – in our department. She has been teaching a number of courses for us over the past several years, including the very popular HIST*3140 “Witch Hunts & Popular Culture” this summer, and is a recipient of the College of Arts Teaching Award.

Tenure track positions are rare and Cape Breton University is extremely fortunate to have chosen such a talented scholar and teacher to join their department.

Congratulations, Sierra, from all of us!
