The cider industry in Ontario is no longer a scene full of start ups. Most of the existing cidery's have at least a couple of years under them now and are now slowly moving away from extremely experimental ciders, each of them finding their own niche. Revel Cider started by making ciders with botanicals, fruits, and new yeast strains from their friends at Escarpment Labs. They have since moved to 100% spontaneously fermented cider, their farmer is on the road to Organic Certification and they are also making significant amounts of Perry and Wine, in addition to their cider.

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 in Wines is an entry level qualification providing a straightforward introduction to wine. It is ideal for boosting the confidence of new or inexperienced front line staff in the hospitality and retail sectors.  It is also a great course for those wanting to know the main grape varieties and food and wine matching. The annual Hospitality & Tourism Case Competition (HTCC) provides an opportunity for students in Hospitality and Tourism programs to demonstrate their presentation, problem-solving skills and creativity by answering challenging case question in front of a panel of industry leaders.  The HFTMSA at the University of Guelph is thrilled to host the competition in 2019.
