Congratulations to Matthew Howard on receiving the Tony Anthony Prize in Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy

The Tony Anthony Prize in Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy was established in memory of the late E.H. Anthony, Professor in the former Department of Zoology, One award will be made for each semester in which the course is offered. Application is not required.

This award is presented to the student who achieves the highest grade in course ZOO*2090, Vertebrate Structure and Function.

Congratulations to Candace Park on receiving the Dr. Erika Gaertner Scholarship in Botany

The Dr. Erika Gaertner Scholarship was established to encourage young scientists passionate about botany. Selection will be based on the highest combined average of any two of the BOT courses. In the event of a tie, the three students with the highest average in the last academic semester will be selected. No application required.

Students registered in the Biodiversity major of the BSc program in the College of Biological Science who have completed between 14.0 and 17.0 credits.

Leslie Rye at Awards Presentation

Congratulations to Leslie Rye who has received this year's President's Spirit Award for Exemplary Staff Service!

IB teaching support/technician, Leslie Rye, has been selected as a recipient of this year's President's Spirit Award for Exemplary Staff Service.

She has served as an undergraduate adviser for the biodiversity major, and supported several student clubs and a field course in Algonquin Park.

This award recognizes and honours Leslie's demonstration of University Spirit by fostering a sense of belonging in the University community.
