2 Graduate degree program form by the 20th day of the 2nd semester registered First submit to your advisor for approval, then submit on Gryphform portal online
3 Approval of dissertation proposal by the end of the 3rd semester registered Form section on the department website. Email completed copy to the GPA psycgpa@uoguelph.ca
4 Completion of Qualifying Exam by 5th semester registered See area graduate handbooks on departmental website
5 Defense of PhD dissertation by 12th semester registered (need set up 60 days mininmum before oral examination Email the GPA psycgpa@uoguelph.ca
6 Progress report Last day of every semester First submit to your advisor for approval, then submit on Gryphform portal online

Keep in mind that many of these deadlines require advance preparation to get approval from all committee members. For example, you should start planning your Advisory Committee Form and Graduate Degree Program Form at least a month before the deadline, your thesis proposal at least a semester before the deadline, your application to continue to the PhD about two months before the deadline, and your PhD thesis two to three semesters before the defence deadline.
