BLA student, Jenny Trinh receives Brian D. Sullivan Leadership Award

Congratulations to fourth year BLA student, Jenny Trinh on receiving the Brian D. Sullivan Leadership Award. This award was established in honour of Brian Sullivan who served as Associate Vice-President, Student Affairs from 1988 to 1999. This award is presented to a graduating student who has made significant contributions to student leadership through her/his involvement as an elected or appointed student representative at the University of Guelph.

CDE Student Presented Research Findings at RHO Conference on Mental Health Status of LGBTQ+ Rural Youth

Capacity Development and Extension graduate student, Stephanie Gariscsak presented at the fifth bi-annual Rainbow Health Ontario Conference on March 21, 2018 in Sudbury, Ontario. Stephanie’s presentation was titled “ The mental health status of LGBTQ+ youth who reside in rural Southern Ontario” wherein she presented key findings from her masters thesis research. Nadia Amoroso awarded 2018 CELA Award for Outstanding Communications

We are pleased to announce that Nadia Amoroso, Assistant Professor in Landscape Architecture, School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, has received the 2018 Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA) Award for Outstanding Communications. This award is given to an individual whose body of work “acknowledges truly outstanding, innovative and noteworthy work through communication.

Toronto Through the Looking Glass: 160 Years of Change

Master of Landscape Architecture candidate, Elizabeth Birks has co-published two articles along with Richard Longley in the March 15-21, 2018 "Toronto Heritage Lost and Found" edition of NOW Toronto.  The content is the story behind the earliest photographs of Toronto's skyline and how they inspired modern creative projects.
