Careers in Music: What Do You Want to Do?

The Music Program at the University of Guelph prides itself on offering students training focused on musical traditions of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Our program is both comprehensive and diverse, centered on providing students the skills necessary to thrive as musicians and creative professionals.

Successful students from the Music Program at Guelph are highly competitive post-graduation in a variety of fields. We asked some of our students to describe their experience at Guelph and speak to how their training has and is helping them succeed professionally:

The University of Guelph resides on the land of the Between the Lakes Treaty No. 3, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. This land is part of the Dish with One Spoon, a covenant between Indigenous nations to live peaceably on the territories of the Great Lakes region. We recognize that today this gathering place is home to many First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and acknowledging them reminds us of our collective responsibility to the land where we learn, live and work.
