New internship specialist joins OAC Dean's Office
The OAC Dean’s Office is pleased to announce Danica Matovic as the new internship specialist for the college. She begins in the role on August 13, 2019.
In this role, Matovic will develop further experiential learning and employment opportunities for OAC undergraduate students.
She will also continue to support the undergraduate flexible internship course offered by the Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics, which is available to all University of Guelph students and focuses on developing employment skills targeted to the agriculture and food sectors. The course also includes a 40-hour internship.
In her previous role as an internship specialist with the University’s Co-op Education and Career Services, Matovic was a key player in the creation and first offerings of this flexible internship course in the Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 semesters.
Prior to the University of Guelph, Matovic’s professional experience includes working for IBM and St. Michael’s Hospital where she honed her business networking skills, as well as her understanding of the intricate framework of industries and organizations. She is an alumna of the University as well, receiving her B.Eng. in 2016.
