New SEDRD Administrative Officer

The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD) is pleased to announce Jennifer McCreary as the new Administrative Officer for the School.

As Administrative Officer, McCreary manages day-to-day operations of the School. She is responsible for providing financial, human resources, administrative and strategic support to the director and faculty members, and is also responsible for human resource activities, including ensuring adherence to employee agreements and establishing unit policies.

"Jenn has been instrumental to SEDRD during a time of significant faculty and staff transition and enhancement of the School's collaborative spaces,” says Prof. Sean Kelly, Director of SEDRD.

“Her pleasant approach to dual roles of administrative and clerical duties over the last few months has been very productive and greatly welcomed. I believe this is why Jenn's application received overwhelming support from SEDRD's faculty and students.”

McCreary has been the acting Administrative Officer since the start of 2019. Prior to this she was the Accounting and Administrative Clerk for the School, and continued to deliver on the accountabilities of this role while she held her interim role.   

She joined the University of Guelph in 2015. Prior to joining the college, she was the Purchasing and Accounting Clerk for the School of Engineering and previously worked at the Upper Grand District School Board as a Human Resources Assistant. She holds an Accounting Diploma and a Certificate in Human Resources, both from Conestoga College.
