The Bill Braithwaite MBA Distinguished Professorial Award is a new award, the first granted by the College of Business and Economics students to an instructor teaching in the MBA program. The award honours one of our most dedicated MBA Faculty and Advisor, Bill Braithwaite.
Each year Prof. Taillon offers an event management certification through Cvent as a component of HTM*2070. For the first time Prof. Taillon offered this certification to all HFTM students, even if they were not enrolled in the course. This year nine students who were not enrolled in the course went above/beyond by taking and passing the exam for this professional designation.

Professor Justin Taillon has published a book chapter with Professors Jackie Dawson (University of Ottawa), Harvey Lemelin (Lakehead University), and Emilie Stewart (Lincoln University in New Zealand) titled "Last Chance Tourism: A Race to Be Last". The chapter discusses the emerging idea of "last chance tourism", which is motivation to visit a location based on the fact that it is a disappearing landscape. Examples included in the publication include the arctic due to climate change and the Ese'eja of the Amazon due to changes in culture.

Continental Breakfast is served at 7:45 am with tee-off (shotgun start) at 8:30 am. The early bird rate is $150 per golfer before 3 p.m. on April 17th, $165 after April 17th. Golf only is $120 and lunch only is $30. Registration is now open.

During College Royal this year, Garden2Table opened up the doors of the foods lab to teach children how to create healthy recipes! They enjoyed the microwave potato chips the most, and were surprised to learn they also enjoyed kale chips.
It was a successful weekend in which 60-80 kids attended the event. Garden2Table also won first place exhibit in the College of Management and Economics! Thanks for a great weekend!
