Degree Info

The MA program offers two streams – a thesis-based stream and a course-based stream with a major research paper (MRP). The thesis-based stream is six semesters and the MRP stream is three semesters. Both options provide students with core knowledge about Art History and Visual Culture within an interdisciplinary research context beneficial for transition to higher levels of education and research and/or for careers in a variety of fields, such as art publishing, museum and gallery work, or government agencies.

Coleman Collection

 

The Coleman Collection is now housed at the Guelph Youth Music Centre.

Financial Assistance

Every student in the MFA Program is eligible for funding through Graduate Teaching Assistantships or Graduate Service Assistantships during each semester of their residency in the MFA Program. Additionally, a variety of research scholarships are available on a competitive basis.
