An Introduction to philosophical questions and ways of dealing with them. Our primary reading will be Plato's Republic but we will also discuss David Hume's Enquiry Concerning Human Understnading, and Jean-Paul Sartre's "Existentialism is a Humanism"

Course Requirements/evaluation: Two 1500 word essays (25% each) and a final exam (50%)
