Our department has a wide range of research interests and we also work in areas that intersect with disciplines outside philosophy. Here are some of our areas of specialization.
Jeannette Hicks is a PhD candidate in Philosophy. She works on Aesthetics//Philosophy of Art and Contemporary Continental Philosophy. She is currently completing a dissertation on critical agency in Foucault's philosophy of art. Other research interests include Merleau-Ponty, Kant, Hegel and Rancière. Jeannette is also a research assistant with the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation (IICSI) and a visual artist.
