Associate Director, Finance and Operations Announced
The OAC Dean’s Office is pleased to announce Tina Goebel as the new Associate Director of Finance and Operations. Tina will begin in the role on September 24, 2018.
"We are so pleased that Tina will join OAC in this vital leadership position,” shares Rene Van Acker, Dean of OAC. “She has the right experience, the depth of knowledge and the collegial nature to excel in this key role and help the college to realize its strategic priorities."
As the Associate Director of Finance and Operations, Tina will serve as the chief administrative officer for all components of OAC’s resource management, including financial, human resource, space and operational logistics. She will be an active member of the college’s senior leadership group and will participate in the development of college strategic and operational planning.
Tina joined the University of Guelph in 2011 as the Staff Accountant in the Office of the Chief Information Officer, but she comes to OAC from the College of Arts where she has served as the Associate Director of Finance and Operations since 2013.
She is a Certified Professional Accountant and has a Master of Education from Wilfrid Laurier University focused on higher education leadership.
Tina fills the role previously held by Laurie Halfpenny Mitchell who is transitioning into the role of Director for the OMAFRA-U of G Agreement and Program. Laurie was with the OAC Dean’s Office for seven years and had a trememdous postive impact on the operations of the college.
