New Awards Officer

The OAC Dean’s Office is pleased to announce Lauren Schurman as the new Awards Officer and Assistant to the Associate Dean (External).

Schurman will begin to transition into this role from her current position in the Dean’s Office as the Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies.

In her new role, she will be responsible for leading OAC’s substantial awards portfolio of 500+ undergraduate, graduate and diploma awards (expendable of over $1 million). She will also provide project management and administrative support to the Associate Dean, External Relations. 

Schurman joined the University of Guelph in 2018.  She previously held administrative positions in Toyota Tsusho Canada Incorporated and the Department of Geography at the University of Western Ontario. She holds a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario.
