This position is intended for a current University of Guelph student. Reporting to the OAC Liaison Manager, the student will be responsible for assisting with event and program management, student recruitment, and overall program promotion. They will assist in carrying out outreach strategies for prospective students, elementary and secondary school personnel, and the general public.
In this position, you will develop your skills and talents in event planning and management, written and verbal communication, social media content creation, organizational and interpersonal skills. You will be participating in recruitment strategy to attract future students and strengthen OAC.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide project support to the Liaison Team which includes, but is not limited to:
- assisting with coordinating on-campus events; creating and delivering activities; editing and designing outreach materials
- Assist and/or lead small and large scale on and off campus events, which will include: meeting and guiding guests, assisting/leading with set up, introducing speakers, assisting with or leading activities
- Assist and/or lead in the development of new learning materials and activities
- Staff booths/exhibitors' spaces and promote OAC programs at external events
- Opportunity to create content for OAC's social media accounts
