Suprea Banik

Hello, my name is Suprea Banik and I currently an M.A student studying French studies here at the University of Guelph. I had done my undergraduate studies in Honours Biology and while I loved biology I found my calling during the completion of my minor which I did in French Studies. I found I excelled in any written composition that required a profound analysis of literary classics. I thus developed a research interest on the impact of literary classics in our society. I believe works become classics when they speak to something greater that reflects the society as a whole. Therefore, in my research I believe it would be valuable to analyse how classics have been defined over time and how the highlighting of certain classics in the classroom might help to perpetuate certain values and morals in our society.
