Dasha Shenkman Lecture In Contemporary Art Series

The 2020 Dasha Shenkman Lecture has been cancelled.

We regret to announce that the 14th annual Dasha Shenkman Lecture in Contemporary Art featuring Amy Sillman, scheduled for March 25, 2020, has been cancelled.

The University of Guelph has been monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic closely and is committed to ensuring a safe environment for our students, staff, faculty and guests. The Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the current public health risk associated with COVID-19 as low for the general population in Canada but acknowledges this could change rapidly.

Unfortunately, in light of shifting potentialities, our guest artist for this event has withdrawn as she is unable to travel as a result of recent COVID-19 developments in New York.

If you booked a seat on the Mercer Union bus, we will issue you a full refund for your bus ticket. You should receive this within a week. If this does not work, you can request a full refund from your Eventbrite account.

More instructions on how to do that, here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/support/articles/en_US/How_To/can-i-get-a-refund?lg=en_CA

We look forward to welcoming you back in 2021.

The University of Guelph resides on the land of the Between the Lakes Treaty No. 3, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. This land is part of the Dish with One Spoon, a covenant between Indigenous nations to live peaceably on the territories of the Great Lakes region. We recognize that today this gathering place is home to many First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and acknowledging them reminds us of our collective responsibility to the land where we learn, live and work.
