Lock Out Tag Out for Farming Operations

This training is required for all staff who perform maintenance on equipment involving machinery or process shut down. EHS offers or arranges this training as needed.

The hazards associated with the inadvertent activation of machinery or equipment have the potential for causing severe injuries, including electrocution, burns, chemical exposures, cuts, bruises, crushing, amputation, or death. To protect workers from the unexpected start-up or release of stored energy during maintenance or repair activities, such machinery or equipment must be properly locked-out.

This course will review the legal requirements and methods of hazardous energy control (Lockout/Tagout) in the workplace, outlining lockout procedures for the control of hazardous energy associated with machinery or equipment.

Please contact the Manager, Agriculture and Veterinary Safety for Lockout Tagout in Agricultural Operations.
