Electrical Safety for Qualified Workers

Year after year, accidental or unintended exposure to electricity ranks in the top five causes of workplace deaths. The hazards associated with work on or near electricity include: electric shock, arc flash and arc blast. By understanding and following comprehensive electrical standards as well as established safety procedures the authorized qualified electrical worker can reduce or eliminate his/her risk of injury or death caused by electricity. This course provides these workers with classroom instruction and practical experience that promotes a best practice culture.

Target Audience: Authorized qualified electrical workers who work on or in close proximity to electrically energized equipment or systems (above 300 volts). These workers include electricians, refrigeration mechanics, CUP operating engineers, and their supervisors.
