Scaffold Safety

Every year there are a number of fatalities and hundreds of workers are injured in scaffold-related incidents. Many of these injuries are caused by contact with energized power lines, being struck by a falling object, slipping, or the planking giving away. The risk of injury or death can be minimized or eliminated by identifying the hazards and following established safe work practices when working on scaffolds.

Employees who may be required to work on the Upright Scaffold work platform are required to complete a 2-hour training course that covers legal responsibilities, the application/ use of the Upright Scaffold, identification of the scaffolding hazards, and safe work practices.
