Congrats to our June “G” Thanks! Winner Patricia Tersigni!

Jacqueline Hamilton wrote in her Kudoboard nomination:

“@Patricia Tersigni does so much to support folks on campus and is truly deserving of a 'G Thanks' nomination! Whether it is a quick call to help bounce an idea around, great insight into how to navigate academic processes, paperwork, etc. or just a chance to connect and check in, I (and many others!) are truly grateful for all the work Patricia does!”

U of G Prof Receives National Teaching Award

University of Guelph biochemistry professor Dr. John Dawson is one of 10 educators across Canada to receive this year’s 3M National Teaching Fellowship Award.

The award, sponsored by 3M Canada and the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE), celebrates extraordinary educational leadership and contributions to post-secondary teaching and learning.

Congrats to the first “G” Thanks! winner, Chris Herkimer!

Each month, the GREAT at U of G Consultative Committee is randomly selecting a winner for the “G” Thanks! award. In the first month of the program, 28 nominations were received from various individuals and teams across U of G.

Chris Herkimer, Department Head of Hospitality, received several nominations from the University community and has been selected as the January “G” Thanks winner!

Kudos to the OVC Smith Lane Animal Hospital Team

The OVC Smith Lane Animal Hospital team located within the Ontario Veterinary College’s Hill's Pet Nutrition Primary Healthcare Centre are a small, but mighty group. The team of 12 full-time and four part-time staff work closely with final-year student veterinarians to provide veterinary service to Guelph and surrounding communities.  Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, this team has continued to work on-campus, delivering essential veterinary care each daily to ensure their clients’ pets are well cared for.

#ColleagueKudos: Thank you to all U of G employees who continue to go to work

We asked the U of G community to show their thanks to employees who continue to work at one of our campuses or research stations during COVID-19.

The community response was very positive, with many sharing their notes of appreciation and thanks to their colleagues.

See below a compilation of the THANK YOU notes.
