Mental Health First Aid (2-Day Certification Program)

This 2 day training takes place on 9:00 am-4:30 pm September 16, 2026 and 9:00 am-4:30 pm September 23, 2026. Do you sometimes worry you wouldn’t know what to say or do if a colleague, student, friend, or family member were in mental distress or crisis? Developed by the Mental Health Commission Canada, the two-day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certification course is designed to give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond supportively. 

Human Rights Fundamentals: Addressing Discrimination and Harassment on Campus

This workshop invites participants to go beyond the text of Ontario’s human rights legislation, exploring how legal requirements impact our daily work. Together, we will tackle critical questions such as: How do we recognize harassment or discrimination? When does behavior constitute a human rights violation? What constitutes a reasonable response to a complaint? How can we proactively prevent human rights violations from occurring?

Design Thinking

Join us for an engaging workshop where attendees will be guided through the principles of Design Thinking—a human-centered, iterative method proven to tackle complex, “wicked” challenges effectively. Drawing from the Innovation Toolkit—a set of entrepreneurship and innovation tools - this session will empower you to redefine problems, spark creative ideas, and prototype impactful solutions. Participants are encouraged to explore the Innovation Toolkit ahead of time.
