Congrats to our May “G” Thanks! Winner Jenna Hennessy!

Sarah Schoeffel wrote in her Kudoboard nomination, “I’d like to nominate Jenna Hennessy for the May “G” Thanks! award.  Anyone who has had the opportunity to work with Jenna knows how much she deserves this recognition. Jenna is a strategic thinker, thoughtful contributor, and collaborative in her approach to work. She listens intently and always has great feedback to share. She is my “go-to” person who can answer even the most random questions with patience and a willingness to help. We are so lucky to have Jenna at U of G, and I’m grateful for all the opportunities I have to work with her!"

After learning she was selected to be this month’s winner, Jenna said “I’m so grateful this nomination. One of the reasons I love working at U of G is the people. There are a lot of really creative, driven, compassionate and amazing folks here who care deeply about the University and the folks we support. It’s wonderful being part of a place that has this much heart. I love that we have an opportunity to show our appreciation for each other through this program. Thank you for the award!”

At the celebration meeting Sarah also expressed “Jenna is always such a joy to work with. I’ve had the opportunity to work with her through a variety of Committee roles- the Wellness@Work Advisory, Smoke-Free Campus, GREAT at U of G, and many others. I really respect the way Jenna shows up to everything she does. She is always willing to help, very responsive, and I always know I can count on her to deliver.”

Lori Bona Hunt stated “Thank you Sarah for the nomination, what you’ve said really does capture Jenna’s, helpfulness, enthusiasm, great ideas, and insights. Jenna has a stressful job, and you would never know it because of her positive outlook and mood. She is eager to help, friendly, she has great professionalism and competency, and one of the best attitudes around. During the past year we all have had new environments and new stress and having someone on your team that is a positive influence makes all the difference.”

Claire Alexander said “Jenna is one of the most positive people I know and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with her. I love to collaborate with her as she has such a great global perspective and is so knowledgeable. Jenna is always so willing to brainstorm ideas and is enthusiastic. I always value her perspective on a project. An absolutely well-deserved recognition.”

Morgan Marini stated “Jenna makes such an effort to bring people together in creative and inclusive ways: team lunch dates, a sunflower growing competition, ‘guess who’ photo activities, holiday party games, Halloween and United Way activities. She is so deserving of this recognition; she really does make a positive impact on the workplace culture.”

Jen Demeis shared “I am really grateful for Jenna. Her involvement and enthusiasm with NEW Days staff orientation plays a huge role in making new staff feel welcome and understand the internal University environment. I appreciate having someone so knowledgeable about campus, be so willing to help. Thanks Jenna!"

Congrats Jenna and thanks for all your exceptional work!
