OSSTF/TARA, University Ratify Agreement

Members of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation/Technical, Administrative, Research, Agricultural (OSSTF/TARA) District 35, the union that represents about 225 staff at the University, its regional campuses, and its Research Station Operations, and the University of Guelph have ratified the renewal Collective Agreement that was tentatively agreed to on July 25, 2018. This three year renewal agreement amends the previous agreement that expired April 30, 2018.

University, Exempt Group Ratify Agreement

We are pleased to advise that the University of Guelph and the Exempt Group, which negotiates terms and conditions of employment for 34 full-time, temporary full time and part-time, administrative, clerical and technical employees employed in a confidential capacity at the University, ratified a new agreement on November 10, 2017. This three year renewal agreement amends the previous agreement that expired April 30, 2017.

PSA Compact Ratification

The University is pleased to announce that members of the Professional Staff Association, which represents more than 800 professional and managerial employees, and the University of Guelph have ratified the renewal Agreement that was tentatively agreed to on August 17, 2017.

PSA Ratification Vote

The University of Guelph and the Professional Staff Association (PSA) have reached a tentative renewal agreement for the agreement that expired April 30, 2017. PSA members will now vote on ratification of the agreement. Information pertaining to the vote can be found below.

University, Professional Staff Association Reach Tentative Agreement

The University of Guelph and the Professional Staff Association (PSA), which negotiates terms and conditions of employment for more than 800 professional and managerial employees, have reached a tentative agreement for a renewed compact agreement.

The previous agreement expired May 1, 2017.

USW 4120 Collective Agreement Ratification

Members of USW Local 4120, which represents about 850 administrative, clerical and technical employees, and the University of Guelph have ratified the renewal collective agreement that was tentatively agreed to on June 20, 2017.

During the five days of negotiations, talks were open, respectful and constructive, with the parties committed to addressing several key priorities for both sides.

"Both bargaining teams should be commended for their hard work, focus and dedication in reaching a renewal agreement," states Martha Harley, Associate Vice-President (Human Resources).

USW Ratification Vote

The University of Guelph and USW Local 4120 have reached a tentative renewal agreement for the agreement that expired April 30, 2017. USW 4120 members will now vote on ratification of the agreement. Information pertaining to the vote can be found below:

University, USW Local 4120 Reach Tentative Agreement

Following five days of negotiation, the University of Guelph and United Steelworkers Local 4120, the union that represents about 850 University administrative and technical staff, have reached a tentative renewal agreement.

The current agreement expired April 30.

Both the University and the union’s negotiating committees are unanimously recommending ratification of the agreement, which addresses several key priorities for both sides.

CUPE 1334 Negotiation Update

The University of Guelph is negotiating a renewal collective agreement with CUPE 1334, the union that represents approximately 240 trades, custodial and maintenance workers on campus.

The University values the work of members of CUPE 1334, and recognizes and appreciates their contributions. The University is committed to constructive, collective bargaining and to reaching a fair settlement.
